2020 Spring Gubernatorial Candidate Forum
This year's event will be full of firsts for Envision Utah. Not only are we hosting our first-ever online event, we're also hosting our first-ever gubernatorial candidate forum!
Moderated by Doug Wright, our discussion will go beyond campaign talking points, giving the top Democratic and Republican candidates (listed below) time to delve into Your Utah, Your Future (Utahns’ statewide vision for 2050) topics.

This event will be FREE, but please RSVP to get it on your calendar, weigh in on the questions we pose to the candidates, and stay up-to-date on event details.
Attendees will also have the chance to weigh in on the issues they want addressed by the candidates via polling. We'll ask about important issues like:
Maintaining quality of life (and low cost of living) in the face of rapid growth
Improving education
Preparing for major disasters
Ensuring we have water for future generations

The Candidates
Some background on your utah, your future
5 years ago Envision Utah—with the help of Governor Gary Herbert—set out to engage Utahns in an unprecedented effort to create a statewide vision for the future. We heard 52,000 Utahns tell us what they wanted for the future across 11 key topics, then we worked with stakeholders and experts to create strategies to make Utahns' vision for each topic a reality. Since then, Envision Utah has been hard at work to help implement the strategies in each topic.
Our next governor will play a big role in making Utahns’ vision a reality, and we’re excited to hear the candidates’ plans to do that! And while we're disappointed we won't be able to mix and mingle in person this year, we appreciate your flexibility as we work together to ensure we all stay safe and healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic.
