Thank you to everyone who joined us for Envision Utah’s 2021 Common Good Awards!

This year we celebrated two incredible organizations doing amazing things to make life in Utah great—now and in the future: Utah Refugee Connection and WCF Insurance. ✨ We also heard from two special guests: Seth Arens from Western Water Assessment who gave an informative presentation on the data and impacts of climate change in Utah, and Representative John Curtis of Utah's Third Congressional District, who sat down with Doug Wright for a discussion on climate stewardship and the Conservative Climate Caucus.

Congratulations to this year’s awardees!

utah refugee connection
Creating meaningful connections between refugees, the community, and public and private organizations that support refugees in developing self-sufficient and fulfilling lives.

wcf insurance
Supporting Utah businesses and families, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, by providing bridge loans and grants for small businesses, helping to feed frontline medical workers, and supporting many other non-profit organizations!

Announcing this year’s special guest!

We're excited to announce that we'll be joined by Representative John Curtis this year!

Representative Curtis proudly represents Utah’s 3rd Congressional District. Since being elected to Congress on November 13, 2017, John has worked on 11 pieces of legislation that were signed into law, ranging in diverse topics such as better managing public lands, combatting human trafficking, supporting small businesses, and more.

Representative Curtis also serves as the inaugural Chairman of the Conservative Climate Caucus, which works to educate House Republicans on climate policies and legislation consistent with conservative values, bring representatives and staff together to better understand technologies and issues related to climate, and organize member and staff briefings on climate proposals.

Our discussion with Representative Curtis will focus on climate stewardship and adaptation in Utah—something more relevant than ever following a harrowing drought and wildfire season.
