Utah County finds itself in the spotlight at the epicenter of growth and transformation in the Beehive State. In many ways, Utah County’s growth will determine the future of Utah.
Planning for growth in a way that keeps what residents love about Utah County is crucial to the million+ people who call the area home.
With this goal in mind, Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) is now in the process of updating the Wasatch Choice Vision for Utah County.
The Wasatch Choice Vision is our communities’ shared vision for coordinated transportation investments, development patterns, and economic opportunities intended to maintain our region’s high quality of life.
The Vision:
Helps communities coordinate on regional issues
Guides transportation projects in the Regional Transportation Plan
Impacts MAG’s grant programs
Does not override or replace local government plans
MAG will work with a consultant team led by Envision Utah to update the Wasatch Choice Vision for Utah County over the next 8 months. Throughout the process, there will be plentiful opportunities for elected officials, city staff, community partners, and the public to help shape the vision.
