Inspire and Prepare Young People to Succeed in a Global Economy.

Junior Achievement of Utah helps K–12 students build financial literacy, explore entrepreneurship, and prepare for the world of work. Through volunteer-led classroom activities and immersive experiences like JA BizTown in Salt Lake City and Orem, students practice managing money, running businesses, and working together—while discovering possibilities for their own futures.

JA is also working to bring 3DE to Utah high schools, connecting classroom learning with real business challenges. By bringing educators and business leaders together, Junior Achievement helps students understand why their education matters and build the confidence to pursue what comes next. Empower those in need by addressing the underlying cause of poverty and providing a comprehensive plan to support their journey to self-sufficiency.

A safe place to sleep is a beginning. Switchpoint helps people take the next steps toward a stable future.

What began as an emergency shelter and soup kitchen in St. George has grown into a network of housing and support services. Switchpoint connects individuals and families facing poverty and homelessness with affordable housing, individualized case management, food access, mental health support, and employment resources.

Its approach also includes extended-hour childcare and mission-supporting businesses, recognizing that lasting stability depends on more than one solution. Through this work, Switchpoint is helping Utahns build a foundation for their futures—and strengthening the communities they call home. Learn more at switchpoint.org

The 2026 Quality Growth Award recipients Is:

Utah Land Use Task Force

For more than twenty years, the Utah Land Use Task Force has brought public and private sector stakeholders together to find common ground on Utah’s land use and development challenges. Through consensus-based policymaking, the Task Force has improved the development process for property owners and local governments while advancing housing availability and affordability. Envision Utah is proud to honor the Task Force with the 2026 Quality Growth Award for its sustained collaboration and commitment to Utah’s long-term quality of life.
