Jason has been a true believer in Envision Utah’s mission since he joined the team in 2014. Before becoming CEO in 2025, he served as the organization’s Vice President of Communications and Education, where he led Envision Utah’s communications efforts and helped establish and direct the education program and early learning project.

Over the past decade, Jason has played a role in nearly all of Envision Utah’s projects. He has led values research, overseen major outreach campaigns, managed stakeholder engagement processes, planned and executed events, and contributed significantly to fundraising, among many other responsibilities.

In addition to his interest in education, Jason has a particular affinity for Envision Utah’s values research and loves understanding how to connect with the hearts and minds of Utahns on important issues. Like a good millennial, he oversaw the development of—and narrates—Envision Utah’s Your Utah, Your Future Podcast.

Jason has spent several years as an adjunct professor teaching communications research, writing, and design classes at his alma mater, Brigham Young University. Before joining Envision Utah, Jason worked with major PR and advertising agencies in New York and Dallas. Jason and his wife first met in kindergarten. Now they have 4 young children and live in Cottonwood Heights.
