Laurel joined Envision in 2022 and works alongside the early learning project manager to share brain-building essentials with community partners throughout Utah, as well as to promote and empower the beauty and importance of the caregiver/child relationship in early learning principles. Her knowledge hails from collective wisdom gained working for the State of Utah Juvenile Court, VA Healthcare System, and Canyons School District. She also has vast experience with other local nonprofits where she worked with and advocated for postpartum parents in various roles.

A deep thinker and curiosity seeker, Laurel has always asked the ‘why’ and ‘how’ questions, making her a natural sociologist and gatherer of good friends and colleagues. She holds a degree in Sociology from Westminster College and currently sits on one of their boards. She enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and planning/implementing home improvement projects alongside her husband, as well as spending time with her teenage daughter.
